Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 29, 2026 · Last updated: September 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Teric LLC ("Teric," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Teric Baseball mobile application, the tericbaseball.com website (including the launch waitlist, online sign-up, account pages, support pages and any web checkout), and related services (together, the "Service"). Please read it. Where the law requires your consent — for example for a child's information — we ask for it separately, as described below.

Where we operate

Teric is offered in the United States and our servers are in the United States. If you use the Service from somewhere else, you understand that your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from your own.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from that provider (your name and email, and from Google a profile photo if one is available) in accordance with the permissions you grant. When you accept our Terms we record which version you accepted and when.

Profile and training data

To build and adapt your training, we collect information you provide such as your birth month and year, height, weight, playing position, throwing and batting hand, experience level, training days per week, training goals, season dates, owned equipment, and any injury you tell us you are working around (for example shoulder, elbow, or lower body). We use birth month and year to determine the player's age and tailor training appropriately; we do not collect a full date of birth. As you use the Service we store your training plans, completed sessions, logged reps and weights, test numbers, exercise swaps, post-session feedback — including whether something hurt — and progress. If you are on a team, a pain report is shown to your coach and sends them a notification.

If you add a profile photo, or sign in with Google and a Google profile photo is available for a player 13 or older, we store it in our file storage (Google Firebase Storage) to show on your profile and to your coach and teammates. You can replace or remove it at any time in Profile, and it is deleted when you delete your account.

Support, feedback and feature requests

If you send a bug report or support request from the app or the website, we store your message, the email on your account, your app version, device model and operating system, the name of your current plan, and any screenshot you choose to attach — please check a screenshot for anything you do not want us to see — and we email it to our support inbox. Feature requests you post (title and details, never your email) are shown to other Teric users once we review them, along with a vote count. If you delete your account we may keep the reasons and comment you optionally give, in anonymous form not linked to you. These records are deleted with your account.

Purchase information

If you subscribe in the app, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google. If we offer subscriptions on our website, they are processed by Stripe, Inc.: we share your account identifier and email address with Stripe, and Stripe collects your card and billing details directly on its checkout page. Either way the subscription is managed through RevenueCat, which receives your account identifier and, for users 13 and older, your email address and display name so we can find your subscription when you contact support. We store subscription status, plan and related identifiers, including a Stripe customer identifier where applicable; we never receive or store your full card number.

Device and usage information

We collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, and a push notification token so we can deliver notifications and diagnose issues. When you use our website or the app contacts our servers we also receive your IP address and standard request logs, which we use for security and rate limiting and keep for a limited period.

Usage data and crash reports

For users 13 and older we use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to see how the app is used (which screens and sessions are opened, finished or swapped, and how they felt) and to diagnose crashes. These reports are tied to your account ID and to a few account properties (role, age band, position, training goal, subscription status) so we can trace a problem back to an account; they never include your name or email. A crash report includes the device model, operating system version, app version and the technical error trace. We do not use any of this for advertising: Google Signals, advertising identifiers (Apple's IDFA, the Android Advertising ID) and ads personalization are off. You can turn usage data and crash reporting off at any time under Profile → Privacy & data → Share usage data. Both are always off for accounts identified as under 13.

Our website

tericbaseball.com uses no advertising or analytics trackers and sets no tracking cookies. If you join the waitlist we store your email address and where on the site you signed up, so we can confirm your spot, tell you when Teric launches, and apply the launch offer to the account you later create with that address; confirmations are sent through Postmark. We keep a waitlist address until its offer is applied or you ask us to remove it, and every launch email includes a way to stop further messages. The waitlist is for adults and players 13 and older; a parent should join on behalf of a younger player. If you use the sign-up quiz, the site keeps your answers in your browser (local storage) until you create an account, then saves them to it; players under 13 cannot sign up on the website. Signing in with Google sets cookies governed by Google's privacy policy.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We do not track you across other sites and do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing for these signals to turn off; we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of sale or sharing in any case.

How we use your information

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Generate, personalize, and adapt your training plans.
  • Track your sessions and progress over time.
  • Process subscriptions and provide paid features.
  • Send push notifications you have enabled (you can disable these at any time).
  • Send service emails about your account — verification, password reset, waitlist confirmation, a reminder before a free trial converts to a paid subscription, a copy of your data when you ask for it, and, for a child's account, the parental-consent notices described below.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Maintain the security and reliability of the Service.

Third-party services

We rely on the providers below to run the Service. Each is contractually permitted to use your information only to provide its services to us and is required to protect it, except that Google may also use analytics and crash data under its own terms to maintain and improve its services. Each is also bound by its own privacy policy:

  • Google Firebase(authentication, database, file storage, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, and App Check device attestation) — Firebase Privacy.
  • RevenueCat(subscription management; receives your account identifier and, for users 13 and older, your email and display name) — RevenueCat Privacy.
  • Anthropic(Claude API) — plan review. Our own software builds every training plan. For players 13 and older, we then send the plan's structure and a few training parameters (age, position, training experience, goals and season — never your name, email or account identifier) to Anthropic, which returns coach-style notes and suggested session arrangements that our software checks before applying; it cannot change the sets, reps or loads you train with. Anthropic processes this only to provide the service to us, may retain requests briefly for abuse monitoring under its terms, and does not use them to train its models. We do not send any information about players identified as under 13 to any AI provider; if that ever changes we will obtain new parental consent first. — Anthropic Privacy.
  • Postmark(ActiveCampaign, LLC) — email delivery. When we email you (account verification, password reset, waitlist and launch messages, parental-consent notices, trial-ending reminders, support replies, or a copy of your data that you request), your email address and the contents of that message pass through Postmark, which delivers it on our behalf and keeps delivery records for a limited period. — Postmark Privacy.
  • Stripe, Inc.(payments for subscriptions bought on our website, if offered; receives your email, account identifier and the payment details you enter on Stripe's page) — Stripe Privacy.
  • Apple & Google (sign-in and in-app purchases), subject to their respective privacy policies.

Teams

If you join a team, the team's coach can see your name, photo, email, age, height, weight, position and goals, your training plans, which sessions you completed, the weights and test numbers you log, and how sessions felt — including any pain you report, which also sends the coach a notification. Coaches can set your training goals and position and start plan generation for you. Your teammates can see your name, photo and position only. You can leave a team at any time in the app. For a player under 13, we ask the parent to decide about team sharing when they give consent; a parent may decline and the child can still train on their own.

How we share information

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. We share information only with the service providers listed in this Policy; with your coach and teammates as described under Teams; when required by law; or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Teric and its users. We never sell or share the personal information of users we know to be under 16. Coaches can invite players by email address; we store that address with the team so the player can accept, and delete it if the invitation is not accepted within 90 days. If you are a coach, only enter addresses of players (or their parents) you are authorized to invite.

Health-related information

Height, weight, an injury you report, post-session pain reports and training measurements are health-related. We use them only to build and adapt your training and, if you are on a team, to let your coach check in; we never sell them or use them for advertising. You can change or clear them in Settings or remove them by deleting your account. Our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes this in the terms some state laws use.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and training data for as long as your account is active. If an account has not been signed into for 18 months, we delete it and its data after emailing the account address (and, for a child, the parent on file) 30 days in advance. You can delete your account at any time — in the app under Profile → Privacy & data → Delete account, on the website at tericbaseball.com/account, or by emailing us — and we promptly delete your profile, training data, support tickets, waitlist entry, team invitations and uploaded photos; emailed requests are completed within 30 days of verification.

After deletion we keep only: a record that the account was deleted (your account ID, sign-in method and a one-way hash of your email — not the email itself) for 12 months, so we can show the deletion was requested; anonymous exit-survey answers not linked to any account; for users 13 and older, de-identified statistics about how plans were generated, which cannot be linked back to you; and analytics and crash data held by Google under its retention settings, if you had usage data on. Subscription records are held by Apple, Google or Stripe under their own policies. Deleting your account cancels a subscription bought on our website; it does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — cancel that separately or it will keep renewing.

Security

Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest on Google Cloud. Access is limited by sign-in and by server rules that control which fields you, a coach, or our servers may read or change; consent records for children are written only by our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it. If a security incident affects your personal information we will notify you as the law requires. Keep your password private and tell us at support@tericbaseball.com if you think someone else has used your account.

Children's privacy

Teric is intended for baseball players of all ages, including children under 13. A player under 13 uses Teric only through an account a parent or legal guardian has consented to, as described here.

Parental consent. If a player tells us they are under 13, we stop and ask for a parent or guardian's email address. We email that parent a notice explaining what we collect, how we use it, and who can see it, with a link to give consent on our website. We do not create the child's account or collect the athletic profile until the parent consents there, confirming they are the parent or guardian, consenting to our collection and use of the child's information, and accepting our Terms for themselves and the child. We send a follow-up email the next day confirming the consent and explaining how to withdraw it. If a parent does not respond within seven days, we delete the parent's email address and no account is created. For children whose accounts were created under our earlier consent screen, we ask for this consent again before the account can be used.

Information we collect for a child account. With parental consent, we collect the information needed to provide the training experience: the player's name, sign-in email, birth month and year, and the athletic profile entered during setup (position, experience level, training days, goals, season dates, equipment, height and weight), and then their plans, completed sessions, logged reps and weights, and post-session feedback. A profile photo is added only if the parent chooses; nothing about a child is public. We do not require a child to provide more information than is reasonably necessary to use the training features. We use a child's information solely to generate and deliver their training plans and to operate the Service. We do not use children's personal information for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

What is off for a child.Usage analytics and crash reporting are disabled for accounts identified as under 13: we collect no analytics events and assign no analytics identifier. No information from an under-13 account is sent to our AI provider; a child's plans are built entirely by our own software. To run the app for a child we use an account ID, a push-notification token, a Firebase installation identifier and a hashed IP address — for sign-in, delivering the plan-ready notification, abuse prevention, security and diagnostics only; never for profiling, advertising or tracking across apps, and never disclosed for any other purpose.

Who handles a child's information.Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, and notifications), RevenueCat (subscriptions, by account identifier only), Postmark (to send account and consent emails), and Apple and Google (sign-in and purchases), solely to operate the Service. If the parent allowed team sharing and the child joins a team, the child's coach and teammates also see the information described under Teams. A child's account emails, including the data export and any subscription reminder, go to the parent's email on file.

Retention for children. We keep a child's account information, athletic profile, training plans, session history and feedback only for as long as needed to provide the child's training — that is, while the account is in use — and follow the schedule under Data retention and deletion. We never keep a child's personal information indefinitely.

Parental rights.A parent or guardian may review the personal information we have collected from their child, ask us to delete it, and refuse to permit further collection by withdrawing consent, which deletes the account. The consent and confirmation emails each carry a "Withdraw consent" link. You can also delete the account in the app under Profile → Privacy & data, or email support@tericbaseball.com from the parent email you gave at consent and tell us the player's name and what you want us to do. We will ask you to confirm the request from that address, and may ask for other reasonable proof that you are the parent, before we act. We do not charge for these requests.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California and several other U.S. states), you may have rights to know or access the personal information we have collected, to correct or delete it, to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it) and targeted advertising (we do not engage in it), and to not be treated differently for exercising these rights. Where applicable law treats certain data as sensitive (for example, a known child's information, body measurements such as height and weight, an injury you report, or pain reports), we use it only to provide the Service. In the app, Profile → Privacy & data lets you export the information we hold about you as spreadsheet files sent to your email, correct your profile, turn usage data off, and delete your account. To exercise any other right, email support@tericbaseball.com from the address on your account; we will confirm the request from that address and respond as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above, post a notice in the app or on our website, and email the address on your account. We will not use information we previously collected in a materially different or more-permissive way — for example, new sharing, or using your personal information to train artificial-intelligence models — without first notifying you and, where required, obtaining your consent. For information collected from a child under 13, we will obtain new parental consent before any material change in how that information is collected, used, or disclosed.
